Sharing your password isn't a permissions system
The bookkeeper needs to record payments. Your spouse wants to see the numbers. The office manager handles tenants. The easy answer is one shared login. It fails the day something goes wrong: nobody can say who changed what, and cutting one person off means changing the password for everyone. Mr. Bienes gives each of them their own sign-in instead.
Each person gets a role. Members do the day-to-day with exactly the permissions you tick: record payments but never delete them, edit tenants but not loans. Viewers see everything and can't change a thing. Owners hold the keys, billing included.
The database itself enforces those limits, so they hold however someone gets in. And when a person leaves, removing them takes effect immediately, while everything they entered stays with the account.
How team seats work

Create the invite
In Settings → Team, choose Member or Viewer, tick the permissions, and add their email if you want the invite locked to that address.

Send the link yourself
The app gives you an invite link to send by email, WhatsApp or text. It works for 14 days, and if you named an email, only someone signed in with that address can use it.

They join with their own sign-in
Your teammate signs up or signs in, opens the link and accepts. Your account appears in their account switcher, next to their own.

Adjust as jobs change
Change a role or a permission at any time. Role changes and removals ask you to confirm it's you first, and the last owner can never be removed by accident.

Keep a record
Invites, joins, role changes and removals are logged with who and when, and each person manages their own two-factor sign-in and devices.

Common questions
- Can my bookkeeper record payments without being able to delete anything?
- Yes. Invite them as a Member and tick only "record payments". Deleting is a separate permission, and the database enforces it, so the limit holds outside the app too.
- Do view-only people count as paid seats?
- No. Only members who can make changes are billed; viewers see everything and cost nothing.
- How do I get someone onto my account?
- Create the invite in Settings → Team and send them the link yourself; the app doesn't email it. They accept with their own account, and the link expires after 14 days.
